Grilled Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches

What you'll need:

8 slices Holsum bread
1/2 cup peanut butter
2 Tbs. plus 2 tsp. jelly
2 Tbs. plus 2 tsp. butter, softened

Spread 4 slices bread with equal portions of jelly.  Spread remaining slices with peanut butter and place on top of jellied bread.  Spread butter on outside of each piece of bread.  Heat a heavy nonstick skillet over medium heat and cook sandwiches 1-2 minutes per side, or until golden.


Cucumber Sandwich

What you'll need:

2 slices Holsum whole wheat bread
2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
6 slices cucumber
2 tablespoons alfalfa sprouts
1 teaspoon olive oil
1 teaspoon red wine vinegar
1 tomato, sliced
1 leaf lettuce
1 ounce pepperoncini, sliced
2 avocados

Spread each slice of bread with 1 tablespoon cream cheese. On one slice of bread, arrange cucumber slices in a single layer. Cover with sprouts, then sprinkle with oil and vinegar. Layer tomato slices, lettuce, and pepperoncini. Spread other slice of bread with mashed avocado. Close sandwich and serve immediately.


Peanut Butter, Apple, and Bacon Sandwiches

What you'll need:

1/2 cup creamy or chunky peanut butter
4 large slices Holsum whole wheat bread, toasted lightly
8 slices bacon, cooked until crisp and drained on paper towels
1 small crisp apple (such as Royal Gala), cored and sliced thin
1/2 cup alfalfa sprouts

Spread peanut butter evenly on bread slices. Layer bacon, apple slices, and sprouts on 2 bread slices and top with remaining bread slices.


Tomato Sandwich

What you'll need:

1 medium tomato
Mayonaise to taste
Bacon bits
2 slices Holsum white bread

Slice tomato and place slices on bread. Spread mayonaise on bread to taste Sprinkle bacon bits on sandwich, close and enjoy!


Reuben Sandwich

What you'll need:

2 slices Holsum rye bread
1 tablespoon butter, softened
2 ounces thinly sliced corned beef
2 ounces sauerkraut
1 slice mozzarella cheese

Heat medium skillet over medium heat. Butter bread on one side. Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, in skillet. Layer corned beef, sauerkraut and mozzarella on bread. Top with remaining slice of bread. Cook, turning once, until bread is browned, sandwich is heated through and cheese is melted. Serve immediately.


Cashew Chicken Salad Sandwiches

What you'll need:

4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts, cooked and shredded
1/2 cup mayonnaise
½ cup minced green onions
1 teaspoon of fresh tarragon
½ cup finely chopped cashews
24 slices of Holsum white bread

Combine the chicken, mayonnaise, green onions, tarragon and cashews. Mix well. Spread the mixture in the middle of 12 slices of the bread. Top with the remaining slices. Using a biscuit cutter or rim of a glass, cut circles out of the bread. Refrigerate until ready to serve.


CLUB SANDWICHES

What you'll need:

6 bacon slices
6 Holsum white bread slices, toasted
mayonnaise
lettuce leaves
2 large cooked turkey slices
salt
pepper
1 large tomato, sliced
sliced gherkin pickles

In 10 inch skillet over medium heat, cook bacon slices until crisp. Drain on paper towels. Spread one side of each bread slice with mayonnaise.  Arrange lettuce leaves on 2 slices. Top with turkey. Sprinkle with salt and pepper then cover with another bread slice, mayonnaise side up. Top each sandwich with more lettuce, half of the tomato slices, 3 cooked bacon slices, pickle, mayonnaise side down. Cut sandwiches diagonally into fourths. Secure each quarter with decorated toothpicks. Arrange, cut sides up, on individual plates.


Baked Cheese Sandwich

What you'll need:

1 slice Holsum White Bread
light olive oil
1 Slice of Salami
1 Slice of Tomato
1 Slice of Swiss Cheese
Dash of Paprika

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.  Take bread and spread it with olive oil. Then put 1 slice of salami over it and top that with the tomato and cheese. Dash some paprika. Bake it in the oven until the cheese starts to bubble.
